Role Overview
ASMC invites applications from qualified academic professionals for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy. The role involves delivering high-quality didactic and practical teaching, supervising dissection and histology sessions, and contributing to departmental research and academic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in Gross Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology as per the PM&DC curriculum
- Conduct and supervise cadaveric dissection and histology practical sessions for MBBS/BDS students
- Set, moderate, and evaluate examination papers including SEQs, MCQs, and viva voce assessments
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate students and junior faculty members
- Actively contribute to departmental research, publications, and academic conferences
- Participate in curriculum review and quality assurance activities as directed by the Principal and Dean
- Fulfill administrative and academic responsibilities as assigned by the department head
Requirements
- Eligibility as per PM&DC Faculty Appointment Criteria 2025 for Assistant Professor (Anatomy) — mandatory
- PM&DC-issued eligibility certificate required at the time of application
- NOC for faculty transfer/migration from current institution where applicable (as per Regulation 35, PM&DC Regulations 2025)
- Only candidates fully meeting the advertised criteria will be called for interview
