On behalf of its client — a well-established manufacturing and trading company operating in Bangladesh — Vantage HR Solution is seeking an experienced, commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organisation's finance function and contribute to its strategic growth and financial sustainability.
Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as the senior financial leader of the organisation, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, taxation, compliance, and banking. The CFO will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team to drive financial strategy, manage risk, and support investment and expansion decisions. This is a senior leadership role requiring 10 to 15 years of finance experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position, and comprehensive knowledge of Bangladesh's financial, VAT, and tax regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting function — developing and maintaining the annual budget, long-term financial plans, and monthly rolling forecasts
- Manage all financial accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll coordination, and month-end/year-end close processes
- Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh VAT regulations, corporate taxation requirements, statutory filings, and all applicable financial compliance obligations
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, working capital management, and cash flow planning to ensure the organisation's financial liquidity and stability
- Lead the internal and external audit process — coordinating with auditors, preparing audit-ready financial statements, and ensuring findings are addressed
- Drive cost control and cost efficiency initiatives — analysing cost structures across manufacturing and trading operations and identifying savings opportunities
- Prepare and present financial performance reports, dashboards, and strategic financial analyses to the Board and senior leadership team
- Provide commercially grounded financial advice on investments, expansion decisions, procurement strategy, and pricing to support the organisation's growth
- Manage and lead the finance team — setting performance standards, developing team capabilities, and fostering a culture of financial accuracy and accountability
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls, risk management frameworks, and ERP-based financial management systems
Requirements
- BBA or MBA in Finance/Accounting from a recognised institution — mandatory
- CA, CMA, or ACCA qualification is strongly preferred
- 10 to 15 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within manufacturing or trading industries
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership position
- Comprehensive knowledge of Bangladesh VAT, taxation, corporate compliance, banking, and audit requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial accounting software, and advanced MS Excel
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Position based in Bangladesh
