Role Overview
GreenMind International School is hiring a qualified Mathematics Teacher for Grades V to O Level (Grade IX/X). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured, challenging, and engaging mathematics instruction to students across primary and secondary levels, with a strong focus on developing students' conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and mathematical confidence. Experience with Cambridge mathematics curriculum and English-medium school teaching is preferred. Position count: 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned mathematics lessons for students from Grade V through to O Level — developing both computational fluency and deep conceptual understanding
- Design lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and teaching resources aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics curriculum and school academic standards
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners — providing extension activities for advanced students and targeted support for those who require additional assistance
- Assess student learning accurately through class participation, homework, assignments, and formal examinations — maintaining detailed and up-to-date grade and performance records
- Provide clear, specific, and constructive feedback on student work to support learning and improvement
- Identify students who are at risk of falling behind early and implement targeted intervention strategies or coordinate additional support
- Prepare students thoroughly for Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics examinations — including past paper practice, examination techniques, and syllabus coverage
- Communicate proactively and professionally with parents and guardians on student progress, achievement, and areas for development
- Collaborate with the academic leadership team, head of department, and fellow teachers on curriculum planning, school events, and cross-subject initiatives
- Participate in staff CPD workshops, school meetings, and school community events
Requirements
- Relevant academic qualification in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field from a recognised institution
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics from Grade V through to O Level / Cambridge IGCSE
- Good communication skills in English — both written and verbal
- Ability to engage and inspire students through clear, structured, and interactive teaching approaches
- Previous teaching experience in an English-medium school is preferred
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Mathematics curriculum is a significant advantage
